In addition to the core membership of firms engaged in household removals and storage in the UK and Europe many BAR members elect to join one or both of the following specialist groups:

The Commercial Moving Group - a dedicated group of companies that specialise in all aspects of commercial relocations, including factories, schools, libraries, hospitals, museums and local government facilities. Most offer move management services including archive and document storage.

An annual competition is held for the prestigious Commercial Mover of the Year trophy sponsored by crate supplier PHS Teacrate.

The Overseas Group is made up of BAR members with the specialist knowledge and expertise required to carry out international removals.

An important benefit is that all Overseas Group members are required to provide customers with an Advance Payment Guarantee which ensures their goods will be delivered to the destination even in the unlikely event that the remover ceases trading.
